Our state-of-the-art CEREC 3D scanner utilizes cutting-edge CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology, combining a camera, computer and milling machine within a single, advanced instrument.
Dr. Jai V. Patel, DDS and Dr.Rahil H. Patel, DDS employ a specialized camera to capture a highly accurate image of the damaged tooth. This optical impression is then seamlessly transferred and displayed on a computer screen, where our skilled dentist and their expert team leverage CAD technology to meticulously design the restoration. CAM then takes the reins, swiftly and automatically crafting the restoration while the patient waits. To complete the process, we firmly bond the new restoration to the surface of the existing tooth, ensuring a seamless and efficient result.
Traditionally, fitting and placement of a crown requires two appointments. With the state-of-the-art CEREC technology, the whole process takes about an hour. For our patients, this translates to a more convenient and less intrusive dental experience.
Utilizing CEREC technology, we harness the power of robust, tooth-colored ceramic materials to restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty and functionality. These materials closely emulate the composition of your natural tooth structure. As a result, when you consume hot food and then transition to something cold, both the restoration and your tooth expand and contract at almost identical rates, ensuring that your tooth remains intact and allowing you to enjoy your meal without concerns. Additionally, these materials are expertly bonded to your tooth, safeguarding as much healthy enamel tissue as possible while simultaneously reinforcing your tooth with the dental restoration.
Not only are CEREC crowns more attractive than their metal counterparts, but they also allow for more conservative therapy, which preserves more healthy tooth structure.
